Measured or galloping,
The stride is a mere illusion.
The distance you have traveled
Defy linear measurement.
One often wonders
What may lay on the other side?
A ledger, a reward
Penance or perdition?
But it is those who
Savor the journey
Without fearing the destination
That find that the question
Need not matter at all.
You have inspired
You have created,
You have nurtured
You have given,
You have loved
You have lost.
Most of all,
You have lived,
While being you.
You have breathed
All that is true.
